Synopsis
The action takes place in a pajama factory in the American Middle West, where the workers are demanding a rise of seven and a half cents. Intransigent management, led by the factory boss Myron P. Hasler, is at loggerheads with a union executive under its president, Prez. Caught in the middle are the time study man, Hines, and the factory superintendent, Syd Sorokin, both trying to fulfil orders despite the chaos, and Babe Williams of the factory grievance committee, who is trying to keep the peace. Then there is the love interest: Syd and Babe have fallen in love, and Hines is in love with Hasler's secretary, Gladys, though the path of true love never runs smooth.
