How to reach us

One route works reliably, and this page would rather send you down it than list half a dozen that do not. Everything below sorts by what you want, so a message lands with the person who can answer it.

Start here

Message us on Facebook

Facebook is the only social account in the company's records, and a message there is the quickest way to reach the committee, whether it is about a ticket, about joining, or about the show.

Message the company

facebook.com/WillenhallMTC

There is no general enquiries email address and no telephone number on this site, and that is not an oversight. No current, confirmed address of either kind exists in the company's records, so rather than print something that might reach nobody, this page prints nothing. Facebook Messenger is the route that is known to work.

Who to ask about what

Everything goes through the same Facebook page, so the useful part is knowing who to ask for. Say which of these you are writing about and your message gets to the right person faster.

  • Tickets and seats

    Ticket Secretary, Chris Spittle

Booking is online through Seaty, and the company absorbs the Seaty and card fees, so nothing is added at checkout. If a booking has gone wrong, or you need seats together, message the Facebook page and ask for the Ticket Secretary.

  • Joining the company

    Any committee member

Applications go to the committee, and on-stage membership normally follows an audition. Non-acting members are just as welcome. You can message on Facebook, or turn up at the hall just before 7:30pm on a Friday and ask to speak to a committee member.

    How to join
  • Safeguarding

    Company Secretary, Colin Hunt

Any concern about a young person in the company, or about the conduct of anyone connected with it, goes to the designated safeguarding contact. There is more detail, and an honest note about the route, further down this page.

  • Press, photographs and programme advertising

    The committee

No press or publicity officer is listed on the committee, so there is no single name to give you. A message to the Facebook page reaches the committee, who will pass it to whoever is dealing with it.

  • The archive, and family history

    The committee

The company has kept its membership records since 1929, which is how long service gets confirmed when a member is put forward for a NODA medal. If you are researching a relative who performed with the company, it is worth asking.

  • Anything else

    The committee

Message the Facebook page. It is the account the company actually uses. Everyone running it is a volunteer, so a reply is not always instant.

Safeguarding

Raising a concern about a young person

The company has members under 18, and juniors need a parent or guardian to countersign both the membership form and the cast member agreement. Colin Hunt is Company Secretary and the company's designated safeguarding contact.

If you have a concern about a young person in the company, or about the conduct of anyone connected with it, it should go to him.

There is no direct route to him published yet. The only contact address on record for the role is a personal one, and it is not the company's to publish. A safeguarding address that belongs to the role rather than to the person holding it is being set up, and it will appear here when it exists. Until then, message the company on Facebook, say that it is a safeguarding matter, and ask to be put in touch with the Company Secretary.

If a child or an adult is in immediate danger, do not use this page. Call 999.

In person

Two buildings, and one of them only for show week

The company rehearses in Bentley and performs in Sedgley. Turning up in person works, but only in the right months.

Full chorus on Fridays at 7:30pm, principals on Mondays at 7:30pm. Friday nights run to about 10pm with a break for refreshments. Turn up just before half past seven on a Friday and ask to speak to a committee member.

The company is only in the building for the show itself. For The Prince of Egypt that is Wed 21 to Sun 25 April 2027. There is no box office there the rest of the year.

Planning a visit

Coming to the hall only works during the rehearsal season. The company's year runs from 1 September to 31 August and rehearsals build towards the show the following April, so between one show and the start of the next season there may well be nobody there to meet. A message on Facebook works all year round.

A proper address is on the way

An email address and a phone number do appear on the company's old website, but that site was last updated in 2016 and nobody has confirmed that either of them still reaches a person. Sending you to an inbox that may have been abandoned for years is worse than sending you nowhere, so they are not repeated here.

The one address anyone currently holds belongs to a committee member personally rather than to the company, and it is not the company's to hand out.

What the company needs is an address tied to a role rather than to a person, so that it survives the next AGM and so that safeguarding in particular has a route that does not depend on anybody's own inbox. That is being sorted. When it exists it will be on this page. Until then, Facebook is the way in.
