Synopsis
In a French village, Belle dreams of adventure beyond her provincial life and wants nothing to do with the boorish Gaston. Her father Maurice, lost in the woods, stumbles upon a hidden castle and is taken prisoner by the Beast, a master cursed by an enchantress, whose household have been turned into living objects. Belle offers her own freedom in exchange for her father's, and the enchanted residents hope she can break the curse. Friendship grows between Belle and the Beast, while Gaston plots with Monsieur D'Arque and leads a mob to the castle. Belle returns and confesses her love, the curse is broken and the household are human again.
